Studies are showing that a new style of Athletic training called Post Activation Potentiation is offering fantastic athletic performance results.
How it works
Post Activation Potentiation is a style of training that has an athlete perform a proper back squat of 3-5 reps of their maximum capacity. After 3-5 minutes of rest, post squats, the athlete then performs a vertical box jump or sprint. The box jumps or sprints should be explosive yet, manageable for the athlete.
It is very important that the back squats reach the athletes maximum strength output in order to see prominent results quickly. If the back squats are too light, studies show insignificant changes in athletes power output.
PAP is great for athletes looking for a new, functional style of training that will rapidly improve their explosiveness and power.
